I have to say.. This year's vday has been different for me. Not that I was looking forward to this day even. Anyways, the day started off with this bouquet of roses delivered to my branch. As much as I expected it, I still unexpected it coming. Don't know how to put my feelings down in words, but yup, it was still unexpected. It got my colleagues all bustling and getting excited around me, since it was the first (and I think, the only) delivery to branch that day! But somehow, after the reading the contents of the card, I didn't really feel the urge to text you a reply - maybe I was swarmed with appts for that day. Or maybe I was just finding excuses for myself.
But yes, I still felt like a happy girl receiving flowers :)
So the day went on with my appts, and towards the end of day, just as I was driving back to branch, I had a tyre puncture at republic blvd. There I was, stranded by the roadside, in the rain, calling my uncle for help, hair and clothes damped, and waiting for the people to come change the tyre for me. I texted you, to update you on what happened to me (and maybe a part of me was hoping that you'd drive down to acc me), but turned out that you were at the clinic's waiting to see the doctor. As much as I was feeling down and pek cek, I still tried to play along with you on whatsapp conversation. Thats where we actually ended up in an outburst and started quarreling. I'm baffled. How can we even quarrel when we are not even together?

I guess, thankfully, both of us sort of simmered down, and you still came down to find me at Bliss - maybe with the pretext that you needed a beer to cool your body down. After my friends left, we debated over a negotiable conversation that took us all the way into the night till 3am, where you sent me home thereafter for the first time. We pretty much thrashed things out, for the better - I hope.
Sometime ago, you had this delivered to my branch as well. If you were to ask me, this would have been a so much more sweeter surprise than the vday bouquet. And this has since earned yourself the nickname "purple bear" among my colleagues.
And to end it all off, I met up with a date of the past on saturday and this was what I was greeted with. Something that he said he promised to get for me when we were seeing each other back then. Thank you - it was a pleasant surprise too!
It's been a vday out of the norms.
