Taipei Diary 1 - Jay Chou Restaurant
Friday, July 8, 2011

As most of you may have already known, yup, I was in Taipei for a week holiday from 1st July to 8th July. I heart holidays. And it's been a while since I holiday-ed in this manner. *pouts mouth*

Anyway, here goes... :) First up, Jay Chou restaurant. To start off, I can't say I am exactly a 周杰伦 fan (serious!). Afterall, I've passed the teenage girls age where I'd go gaga over idols. Though I gotta admit, I haven't missed any of his concerts in Sg. Haha. I really think he's a talented guy - knowing all musical instruments (should see him playing the piano!!!!), and great 写歌 skills...

So yup, no matter what, I had to make a trip down to his “不能说的秘密”-themed restaurant. The address is at No. 250 Wu Xing Street, which is located within the Taipei Medical University - which I must say is a weird place to set up a restaurant there.. Ivy and I were like shuffling through the medical wards with all the medicinal smell, looking around for the restaurant...

So here we are! *woot*!

The interior of the place, taken from 2nd floor. Very simple place.

This particular shot in the movie was blown up against a big wall.. That got the girls swooning away...

Tried their spag set menu. Sadly, the food sucks. :(

Some nice deco items at the counter...

The interiors of the restaurant were filled with snippets from the movie...

The menu - total replica of the movie.

Me with the “不能说的秘密” menu... :)

There was a headboard that says:
"Follow the notes upon the journey.
At first sight marks one's destiny.
Upon the voyage come to an end.
Return lies within hasty keys."
Those who've seen the movie would know this...

*swoonnnsssss*...

Then the infamous piano... And on it, it says.. "Do not play, to avoid going back to 20 years ago..."

"你在哪“?

They served us dessert with a treble clef. Nice.

To end off Diary 1, I would say, go if you're a Jay Chou fan, and not because of the food... :)
