A day when I visited the most number of cafes within a day! And I totally heart the feeling of cafe-hopping! :)

Finally met with up with Ivy babe @ Five&Dime at Robertson Quay. Nice little cosy white place nestled beside the busy buzzing road. Feels good sipping over coffee, by the white window panes, while watching cars whizz past. Good catching up session with her!
Met up with colleagues @ Old School Delights at Upp Thomson Road. Very interesting place!
How many of us really do remember our childhood?
They have an OSD Toy Box on every table, filled wif small surprises!
Tadaa! We tried like playing five stones, but we cant remember at all already! :(
Check out the Enid Blyton books that we used to read! OMG. I read all of Enid's books and am so proud of it! Heh. I totally love reading back then - that explains my specs. Sigh.
Headed down to Awfully Chocolates further up Upp Thomson Road for some sweet delights. I thought it would be a totally crowded place, but it turned out only 2 tables were occupied! I guess, its more of a take-away outlet then to sit in.. We had the whole place to ourselves!
Yeah. Look forward to exploring more of such cafes! :)

Finally brunched @ Hatched. Thought that the place was way too over-rated. Felt super cheated for the food and the place that we dined in. Thumbs down!
Met up with the DBS ex-colleagues on a random saturday night. Dinner @ Dempsey Chang Korean BBQ, followed by wine @ Wine Company and BKT @ Zouk! But I must say, I totally enjoyed their company and random-ness!
Its a leap year 2012! Colleagues and I found ourselves bored that particular afternoon and headed down to a dessert shop @ SRG. Nice and cosy place! There's treasures within SRG! Woot!!
Celebrated the birthdays of RXSG and Bird @ Shake Flyer. Another night of drinking, flamings and waterfalls. Bird emerged sober!
I think we girls love taking photos in the toilet (-.-)
Finally made it to the gym this morning. Thus rewarded myself with brunch all the way @ Changi Village - Chock Full of Beans! Love the angry bird animation on my cafe mocha!
Life's been busy. Looking forward to the batam getaway with the colleagues!

Had the worst day ever. In fact, its been a bad period for me. Family and work. Got snubbed by customers, work processes, and even my boss. Took me down straight in everyone's face for a good 20 minutes. Worst still when colleagues came up to me and asked me if I'm okay. Fighting my tears back, I put on my best brave front, and still braced myself to meet a customer.
Somehow, you called just at the right moment. The sight of your number appearing on my iPhone made me break down totally... Things that I can never share with anyone else - you always still come to my mind when I needed a believer in me. Cos you'd always believe in me, and you'd never judge me. That's all I needed.

Decided to do something different this year for CNY. Some time back, RXSG sent me an email on this HUAT orange pound cake fr Goodwood Park Hotel. Thought it was very interesting - and thus decided to order 1! Lets hope we all "Huat" this year!
Picked up a new game at LGH's place for a steamboat session. Poker. A game of deceit and reading each other's minds and looks. A game of squeezing your competitors out of the game. Looks like it's here to stay!
The traditional stuff that my family does each year at our place. However, its a tad quieter this year. Not sure why...

This
CNY is the quietest year in all my 30 years. Yes I'm officially 30 this year and I gotta admit (finally) that I do shudder at the thought of it. Probably it's due to my granny's sickly condition that my parents ain't in the mood for CNY visiting at all, except for the must-gos. Other than that, I saw myself staying at home accompanying the elder folks, hooked onto my iPad.
"祝你快点找到好男人!" and I always chided by replying my relatives "不要啦, 我要继续跟你拿红包!" Lol.
For once, I did not wish for a 好归宿 this year. I also don't know why. Probably I've already given up. Like I said, as each day passes, I'm more prepared than ever to remain single.
新年快乐! Hope it's a good 龙 year for all of us! :)))

Spent the whole day in the hospital today, taking routine turns to take care of my granny. Poor her, having to go thru such a major op at an old age of 75, and having complications thereafter.
Never mind that I was kicked and slapped by her today, I just hope that she'll be discharged soon.

At the stroke of 12 last night, we are all ushered into 2012. Looking back, in retrospect, it's been a turbulent year yet again.
I've been thinking about 2011 and all that it has brought, and somehow it seemed apt to pen down some thoughts on the very eve of New Year's. Needless to say, this year has been a very emotional affair in more ways than I would have ever imagined.
On the last day of 2011, my 外婆 got diagnosed with gastric cancer. I wish time could slow down for us, for her, so quality time can be well spent with her. Mum's taking this piece of news better now - thankfully. Hang on there 外婆, you've been the best grandma around! We all hope that the one up there will treat you nicer! :)
On xmas day, I rejected someone the 3rd time. The emotional struggle within myself, to give it up again. Thank you for the times we've spent.
Spend NYEE with someone of the past. Its funny how we didn't feel weird during the dinner, and we still joked about our past and stuff. You've pampered me to a great extent, thank you for all that you've done, for me.
Spent my NYE in a peaceful manner. Hit the gym in the morning (needed a good sweat out session after the revelation of my grandma's situation), had late brunch with AJK @ Skyve (check out Skyve @ http://www.skyve.sg/). It's amazing how I'm still in contact with him after so long. Lazed around in bed and had a quiet dinner with mummy - Just wanted to spend more time with her.
My recollections this 2011:
1) Finally established myself in the B&F sector (Got my promotion, and thereby moving on to priority banking)
2) Completed my Masters studies successfully, emerging as the top student. Goodbye to those late nights burning midnight oil... (phew)
3) Went on a few holidays (Bintan, Alaska, Taipei, Bkk, Spain & Portugal). Its my most-travelled year in my entire 29 years of living
4) Chopped off my hair finally! Haa. Needed some 改变, and it's too bad afterall!
5) Glad to see Ryan getting into another r/s and he is so basked in love! Ivy also got back with JT, and they are so much better together now! Benny's wife Karen gave birth to superboy in the month of december! All my friends are doing so well, and I'm really happy for them :)
My resolutions for 2012:
1) Continue to strive hard in Citigold
2) Really x 3 slim down
3) Be happy
My simple 3 resolutions. The rest are secondary. Towards love and relationships, I have no more aspirations. I've learnt to accept things as the way they are. I'm thankful to have loved before - thats all I needed in my memories. I believe it's enough for me to last this lifetime.
时间让我学会了什么是后悔.
每个人都有了属于自己的那片天空,
而我也只好留在我自己的岗位,
继续寻找属于我的那片天空...
So 2012 is here and definitely here to stay. Am I ready for what's ahead of me? I guess I am as ready as I can be.

It's been a really busy week, starting off last saturday with the bday celebration with the peeps @ China One. RXSG found that there's this place having FREE FLOW of shots/drinks @ CQ for a flat charge. Perfect reason to drinkkk...
Think the whole lot of us had like 100 shots in total... :s

Then I was invited back to my POSB branch for a celebration. Turned out the ex colleagues actually celebrated my bday in surprise! I was totally caught off guard and lost for words.
I never knew I can have such close warm friends in the banking sector..

Then, it's onto a new adventure with the current colleagues... The 4 of us (Yes, its a very small batch) had our fair share of rubbish and enjoyment, not forgetting the times when we really mugged for the 4 exams in a week - wasn't an easy feat lorrr.
Went to the Morton's @ Mandarin Oriental on Friday after work. Woohoo. $12.90 for a Choco Martini, and we enjoyed free flow of steak sandwiches from 5-7pm. I find the place a tad too dark though.. But anyways, gotta be there early to get a table...

Was being introduced to Victor's Kitchen @ Sunshine Plaza during lunch with the colleagues. Highly recommended - 奶茶 and 流沙包! The 4 of us chalked out to a total of $70 bill. Zzz.
And then, I was being brought to this place @ The Cathay after a quick lunch. I really can faint lor. I am never a "games" person. And I think I have reflex coordination problem when I play Wii. Haha. But anyways, still a good session!
The most ultimate one. We actually went to buy Monopoly Deal during lunch on Friday, and we spent the rest of the day playing it... My goodness.
Yup, kudos. So much so for my bday week! It's another year whizzed past just like this. It's on nights like these when I gaze up into the sky and wonders...

Been hearing so much abt this place. So finally decided to whizz down for a sunday afternoon tea cum catch up with RXSG. And it's a very lovely place indeed! Nestled at a quiet yet exclusive place. It just stands out so much from the shops around it. Can't help but fall in love with it at first sight. Q-ed for almost half an hr before we got a seat.

As I count down the number of remaining days with DBS, I find myself starting to miss this group of amazing colleagues. It was a crazy night with the colleagues @ Partyworld Liang Court.
I was the target for the whole night. Their primary aim - to make me drunk.

Me and Joanne. I never expected the colleague-ship between me and her to proceed on to friendship. Someone who came out drinking entirely because of me. Someone who cried because of me. Someone whom I will really miss throughout my stint in POSB Yishun Central.

You guys really rocks. It was a crazy night, and we all had lotsa fun together. I'm quite sure we will still keep in touch in the near future :)

Finally took the bold step to chop off my hair to shoulder length today! Took me countless months to consider. Been asking ppl around me if I should do the chop. Hahaa. It didn't turn out that bad after all :)
After all, it should be a new start, new beginning, new image welcoming 2012 :)
