Greetings from Cinnamon Grand Hotel!
Tuesday, July 28, 2009

Blogging from my hotel room now. Yea, amazed that I actually have the time to blog this time round rite. Been eating lots, ever since I touched down @ SL yesterday afternoon. Super filling meals each time, though I still do get the on-and-off mild gastric pains due to the time difference from SG. But everything's under control, no worries.

During my flt yesterday, managed to watch Hannah Montana and half of Taken on board. I think I don't have to watch movies in the cinemas anymore. Heh. Since I will be travelling this often, and the movies on board are actually quite updated. Keke. Shall continue wif the 2nd half of Taken on my flt back to SG on saturday. =)

Anyway, Email Of The Day:

From Nepal to Chris:
Dear Christ,

Please find attached the drawings for your perusal. Hope to hear from you soon.

BR, Nepal.

From Chris to Nepal:
Dear Nepal,

I am not Christ. He died some few thousand years ago.
Please resend your email correctly.

BR, Chris (Without the T)

Seriously, I burst out laughing out loud when I saw the reply email - since I was in the cc loop. Haha. Ok, off to bed. Nitey people. =)

Enough Please!
Friday, July 17, 2009

Give me a break. I just wanna have my silence and rest upon reaching hotel room.

Enough of sharing office politics wif me.
Enough of complaining to me.
Enough of gossiping this and that wif me.
Enough of all these.

I'm seriously not really interested in all the above.

At the end of the day, I just wanna have my deserved rest after battling out there at site. Boo. =(

Sobz!
Thursday, July 16, 2009

Sigh. Just when I thought I super act blur and super "geng" already, I still can't escape from sharing the SAME room with my boss la. )(#)$*)(#&*(!. I'm like super sianz and damn sianz can.

Don't understand what is her intention in insisting wanting to share the same room wif me seriously. I mean, who the hell on earth would want to share room together on company-paid basis?!

But it might not be such a bad thing after all. Maybe she's trying to build up the rapport between me and her. Maybe she's trying to pull me into her ally. Maybe she just wanna confide in me in office politics. Or maybe.. I don't know. But one thing for sure, she definitely did tell me ALOT of her innermost feelings and thoughts.

And yah, I'm super tired. Didn't have a good sleep on flight last night. It was a very turbulent journey anyway. Not to mention that a small Indian girl slept beside me, sprawled all over her seat. (-.-)'''

I'm deprived of sleep. I know its 8.15pm in Sg right now. I'm back in the hotel for the time being, sharing wifi wif my boss, blogging. Dinner appt wif customer at 10.30pm Sg time later. Zzz.

Bring me back to Sg please. Sobz.

Osaka Trip - Final Day
Tuesday, November 4, 2008

On our final day in Osaka, we decided to do some sightseeing around in the city. Of cos, we did our homework locally before going.. So there were a few places that we wanted to go. First up, we had our bf (aka breakfast) at MacDonald's since it wasnt provided for by the accomodation le...

At the breakfast table...

A brief introduction to The Osaka Castle... I tried my very best to squeeze all the words into one picture. Hope you guys still can read the words.. keke.

The walkway entrance to the castle. Too bad for the fact that it was drizzling. I didnt take any pictures under the rain.. Cos I didnt want my hair to get wet! And it kinda dampens my mood in a way...

After much failed attempts of trying to converse in Japanese-English-Mandarin and mislead-ed hand signs (Haa!!), I figured that this was something like you have to do before going into the castle as a form of respect.. Er, pardon me if I'm wrong.. :p

Okie, at least they had this in English writing. So it's a well called Ogonsui (Golden Water) which was also the most important castle well.

So I made my wish... And hope that it will come true... =)

Some of the displays and miniatures within the castle. Actually, I was rather disappointed wif the tour la. I thought it would be something very traditional inside, like what you see in the Forbidden City, where they still retain the remains and essence of everything. Not that I have been to Forbidden City la, but I have seen the pictures my parents took when they went ma.
But here in Osaka, it was more like a museum to me. Which didnt really get my attention and interest.. =(

We decided to head down towards town via a scenic cruise. Again, (disappointingly) the broadcast was all in Japanese language lorrr.

We walked around downtown before Jimmy caught sight of this bright red ferris wheel. It got me kinda excited that I forgot abt my fear of heights. =x

Ya la. I regretted going up the ride. I kept hanging on to the handle, and kept insisting Jimmy not to shake the cabin at all. So basically, we were sitting still on the cabin, cos I didnt want it to shake!!

A view from atop the ferris wheel. *feels the jitters in my stomach...*

As if it were not enough, he still suggested going to this Floating Garden Observatory, supposedly the highest building around in Osaka? Again, it was deduced from the failed attempts of Japanese-English-Mandarin conversation we had wif the locals la. Not sure if we understood them correctly..

While waiting for the sunset, I sat by the table - deep in thoughts...

When the night fell, we went up to the observatory deck. Boy, wasnt it cold. But nice view from the top though.

Look at how pretty the floor is! Just love the colour combi of it. It also took us quite a few attempts to figure out how our cameras were able to capture the lighting of it.

On the train, heading towards Kansai Airport.. Heading towards home.
I have never missed home this much before...

Osaka Trip - Universal Studio
Monday, November 3, 2008

So I realise I gotta sacrifice some of my beauty sleep in order to update my blog. Cos I seem to be so backdated in my entries! I've got like so many photos waiting for me to upload and so much stuff to share wif you guys... Yet, I've got to blog them in sequential and event-ful order that... Argh, never mind. Back to Universal Studio...

The entrance to Universal Studio! Here I come...

The entrance tickets. We took 1 hour to queue up for them lor. Even though we were there so early. The japs really can wake up early. Hmmm.

Our first killer ride of the day. The Hollywood Dreams Ride, if I didnt remember wrongly. The best ride of the whole theme park, basically. Haa. The others were not challenging at all..

Some of the pictures to share...

Erm, forgot the title of this movie also. Thats the problem abt not blogging immediately. Memories fail...

Yea. Wizard of OZ.

Jurassic Park, wif that egg.

Yesh. Its Halloween once more. I was at the United States at this time last year too. Wif those Halloween pictures too. Just that, things aint the same anymore. And I'm happy that things are the way as it is now... =)

Me wif Tasmania. Peep Peep.

I was, and am never a fan of Hello Kitty. So unlike of me, esp when I'm always labelled as princessy in front of frens and colleagues. Put it frankly, I was being asked to pose for this picture out of favour la.

I guess the highlight of the Osaka Universal Studio is this Peter Pan Magical Adventure, where they put on a show on the story of Peter Pan and wats the name of the fairy? Yes, its Tinkerbell!!

The only thing I've got to comment is that, they actually acted out the musical in Japanese language lorrr. How the hell would I ever understand the story in that manner?! But at least, they topped it all up by having this fireworks display at the end of it, which amazed me. Cos I always have this impression that fireworks display is only meant for DisneyLand instead of Universal Studio.

We actually took this ET Adventure Ride, that was really quite nice. Its a cycling thingy ride. Jimmy was telling me that I gotta watch this movie. And I've been trying to look for it in the VCDs and CDs shop locally. Any help, frens?

Osaka Trip - Training Days
Saturday, November 1, 2008

So we started on our 5-days training officially at Osaka Training Centre, Kanaoka School, wif other international participants.

Me outside the school. And here's a peek into my classroom. Yea, boring enough. Thankfully, I was put to sit at the corner, when I occasionally dozed off when the lecturer became too monotonous and draggy. *oppss!*
What kept us going was the programs that we can have after our training each day. We always look forward to 5pm everyday, cos thats when we head downtown for food and shopping and break free from the norms and boredom of studying... =)

From our nearest Subway station Abiko.

Me at the shopping alley of Namba. The human traffic wasnt that bad, considering the shops and retail there closes at 8pm (which is like 7pm in Sg). Midway, I chanced upon this retail shop named bliss. Cool. Anyway, I was suffering from gastric pains later during dinner. The gastric pills that he bought for me came in handy... =)
But then again, things do happen at times. And its at times like this, when you realise, suddenly you change your impression of something or of someone, that kinda puts you off. Yet again, you cant really share this wif anyone (or rather him).. and then you just have to bear wif it for the rest of the trip... So, back to early retreat for the night...

But still, I'm thankful that he bought me that bottle of gastric pills..
The next morning...

A picture taken outside our accomodation. Me and the colleague who were being sent there for training.

After our training on the 2nd day, we had our welcome dinner hosted by Japan, at some traditional restaurant. Steamboat seafood dinner..

Look how pretty they display their glass. With that origami inside. Its just so pretty right! In one of favourite pink colour some more!!!

The course schedule for the following day was a visit to our factory where our equipment are being assembled and produced.

It really amazed me to actually witness the process of how a condensing unit is being produced. The amount of machinery and labour used. Now I understand why they always cant increase the production demand in time. Hmmm.

Anyway, I was telling Jimmy that I must try the authentic Japanese curry rice when I go over there. And we really did search around for a nice proper restaurance, before we chanced upon this...

Its just so so yummy lorrr... and it really fulfilled my satisfaction and hunger. Haa. *oishi!!* I never knew the Japanese could make such good curry.

After our fourth day of training, my boss's sms came in again. Yet another invitation. Decided to be firm and turn it down once more. Planned to visit Osaka Aquarium instead.

Me wif Mr. Stingray. Made me miss sambal stingray in Sg so much! Anyway, I have had my fill in eating sambal stingray le. Haa, read my posts later on. =) Didnt really take much pictures within the Aquarium. Plus the kind of blue lighting effect they have throughout the whole aquarium journey didnt really turn out well in the pictures. Both of us gave up taking pictures in the end. Moreover, I felt that it wasnt that fascinating as what was being published and recommended on the official travel website at all.

Enough of the boring stuff. Shall update on my Universal Studio in my next entry! *yes, I visited the Universal Studio there!*

Osaka Trip - Day 1

My days have been packed wif activities since I came back from Osaka. Havent really got a chance to sit down peacefully to update my new blog. It seems that I've got lots to update for these few days. But meanwhile, my Osaka Training first. Here goes...

Upon arriving at Kansai Airport. The weather wasnt as cold as I expected, so much so for the thick jackets that I lugged along. =( As our flight was on a midnight timing, we didnt really sleep well on the plane. The groggy and panda-eyed us decided to check in to our rooms for a few hours of beauty sleep first before checking out on the place..

The rooms were rather small and disappointing la. *see picture above* Sigh. Shall not comment any further on my disappointment in the company.

After that few precious hours of beauty sleep, we decided to head downtown to Namba for some food and shopping. Of cos, we had to try the tako-pachi over there. Well, almost comparable to whats being sold in Sg.

My dinner. Look how huge their portion for a person is. Imagine how much more weight I have put on during these 9 days that I was over there. But I gotta admit that the food was really good! *oishi!*

And yes, if you guys have caught sight of the white paper bag beside me, yes, its my first burberry blue label buy at Osaka. Keke. =)
