Spain & Portugal Holiday
Saturday, December 3, 2011
My 3rd big holiday of year 2011 - to Spain & Portugal. To be exact, Spain. Cos we only spent 1 night at Portugal. Generally a very slow paced and relaxing trip. Slept a lot - to my luxury, especially on the coach journeys. Ate a lot too (sigh) - thats why I hit the gym this morning (and coincidentally met AJK there)
Ok here goes the peekkssss ... :)
Traveling wif my family - minus my bro JR. It's only ever since I stopped working for my dad that I can have this luxury of holiday-ing wif my parents. And it's only at times like these when I spend a great deal of time (and quarreling) with dad too.. There was this dinner that I quarreled with him. We didnt even care that the rest of the tour group people were looking at us. Ended up the tour guide came over with the pretext to "toast" us..
My dad is a majestic person. To me, he's someone whom I can never outtalk him. Never. It's a good thing that I stopped working for his company - thats why we still can maintain this father&daughter relationship. Anyways... (sigh)
My 1st ever Europe trip. Alot of visiting to churches and cathedrals. I hear the story of Jesus everyday - his reborn, power & influence. The tour guide even screened the movie "Passion of the Christ"...
There was this cathedral that I visited. It was said that there were 3 bombs dropped on it, and yet somehow they all got stuck on the roof, ie. they did not explode. The 3 bombs were displayed in the cathedral, with the embedded holes in the ceiling for visitors to view.. They say it was him who protected the cathedral...
I seriously lost count of how many churches/cathedrals we went during this trip. Gothic church even, to the extent that I couldn't differentiate which was which, and what was what.
However, I gotta admit, the interiors were awe-aspiring..
Sipping mocha in the city. A day of R&R.
@ Barcelona. MIssed the bull ring fight and the flamingo dance show! :(
Porcelain was a common sight.
Me and bro. I'm so short, standing beside him...
Some of my personal favs...
In the city of Toledo
With Barcelona behind mum and me...
Over-exposed @ the most western point of Europe - Lisbon.
Viewing the sunset @ Alicante.
When's my next big holiday?

Yayyy. Went on a 4D3N BKK trip with the NTU peeps! I must say, I'm glad I did not insist on postponing/canceling the trip. Phew. The media and government totally exaggerated the whole flood situation in BKK. It was TOTALLY dry over there at BKK and it was scorching hot lahhh!
Anyway, we stayed at this place named Mac Boutique Hotel - not too bad an apartment for the 5 of us!
Greetings from Mac Boutique Hotel!
The 5 of us. We even managed to squeeze into one tuk-tuk together!
Forget about whatever disease/ unhygienic food. We still ate at street stalls!
Standing atop of the sand bags!
Went for massage everyday. Cheap cheap!
Clubbers photo! First night at FUnky Villa!
SEcond night at RCA Slim!
Woohoooo.
Alrighty. Looks forward to the next trip wif the peeps. Off to Spain & Portugal!

Alaska Holiday
Sunday, June 26, 2011
I'm safely back in SG. Alaska had reported of earthquakes a few days ago, and I've had a few friends calling/msging me asking me if I'm really back in SG. Yay. I've got nice friends around me. The best statement I've got was... "Goes to show God still loves you...".
Anyways, yup I've got my photos up here in my entry. For more photos, pls refer to my FB.
Finally touched down @ Vancouver after a 4 hr flight to HK + 2 hr stopover @ HK + 12 hr flt to Vancouver. *My poor back and legs*
On board the Celebrity Millenium cruise. Our stateroom wif the window.
@ Portage Glacier Daylodge.
Some nice scenery pics taken on the cruise.
1st stop - Juneau.
We went to see flowersss....
2nd stop @ Skagway. Where we took the heli ride up to the husky dog camp!
Seriously, I thought it was very poor thing for the huskies. But the trainers said that they loved to pull us along the snow! It was a really good experience! The huskies were lovable and friendly!
3rd stop @ Icy Strait Point. Where we had our 1st attempt at Alaska Crabs. Thumbs up!
4th stop @ Ketchikan.
Stopped by @ Landing Zone Grill for cheesy salmon burgers. Sizzling hot in the cold weather.
All our meals involved the Alaska Crabs. Couldn't give them a miss! Hah.
Some of the nice pictures to my preference...
My favorite family picture. :)
Along the streets of Vancouver. Nice bustling town. Lots of Asians.
There were times when emotions still got the better of me and I felt myself feeling emotional at times. It's at times like these which made me ponder more, and reflected back. Deep down, I really still feel empty. That deep sense of hollowness within me.
It's on trips like this when I really felt laid back, and gave me time to think through what I've done and been through these years. I've officially cleared my sleep debt, haha!
Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to my trip to Taipei this friday wif Ivy. Woots!
